OUR FOUNDATION
The Monument Hill Foundation is a separate, registered, 501(c) 3 charity with its own Bylaws, Policies, and
Procedures. The MHF acts as the Philanthropic arm of the Monument Hill Kiwanis Club. The relationship
between the two organizations is defined in the MHF Bylaws and in a Joint Operating Agreement (JOA).
The MHF fiscal year runs from 1 July to 30 June each year and the administrative year runs from 1 January -
31 December each year. MHF Board Members are chosen from within and outside the membership of the MHKC, and
are appointed annually by the MHKC Board of Directors in the 4th calendar quarter.
The MHF is organized into three elements: Fundraising, Investment, and
Granting. The annual granting cycle begins with a call for grant applications early in the
year. Applications are accepted through April and awards are made in late summer. For more information about
