We support community members facing difficult circumstances. As our community has grown, financial pressures from many causes have left more people in need of meaningful assistance. Annually we contribute over $100,000 to the community. We do these two ways. One, we and the Monument Hill Kiwanis Club ring the bell for the Salvation Army and we have a fundraiser called Empty Bowls to support Tri-Lakes Cares. Over $40,000 annually is given to these two charities. The second is that The Monument Hill Foundation delivers over $60,000 in grants to nonprofits serving youth in our community and to assist School District 38. However, this does not satisfy the need. Every year we receive more than $100,000 in grant requests. It is rare that any are frivolous. We are only able to satisfy approximately half of the requests.\n<\/div>
